HIGHER EDUCATION - TEACHER

I have been teaching university students since 1998, first as a graduate assistant during my MFA program at the University of Georgia and continuing until becoming Program Coordinator and being awarded tenure at Gordon College. I have experience teaching classes in acting, directing, script analysis, production, speech and diction, movement, creative project management, and theatre appreciation to both majors and non-majors. In recent years I have begun working with the Georgia Film Academy and am now teaching classes in acting for the camera. I have taught at Columbus State University, Piedmont University, and currently teach at Gordon College. My former CSU students include Michael Stiggers, currently playing Simba in the 2022 production of The Lion King on Broadway in NYC, film and television actor Jef Holbrook, and many other working actors and educators. My work is informed by the Meisner Method, the techniques and strategies created by Augusto Boal, and voice and diction techniques created by Master Voice Teacher Kristin Linklater. I was supposed to travel to study at the Kristin Linklater Voice Centre in the summer of 2020, but my plans were disrupted by Covid-19.
