DIRECTING - ROSE OF ATHENS THEATER
I founded Rose of Athens Theatre in Athens, GA in 2006 as Athens’ first professional theatre. Until Covid-19 forced it to close its doors in 2020, RoA created vibrant, extraordinary performances, employing community actors alongside Actors Equity performers. I directed two shows a year from 2006 until 2015. Rose of Athens sought to more deeply engage the community and grow audiences by partnering with public schools to bring students to shows as part of their cultural enrichment education. Because of RoA, thousands of young people had their first exposure to live theatre.
