PRODUCER - ROSE OF ATHENS THEATRE
I founded Rose of Athens Theatre in Athens, GA in 2006 as Athens’ first professional theatre. Until Covid-19 forced it to close its doors in 2020, RoA created vibrant, extraordinary performances, employing community actors alongside Actors Equity performers and SDA directors. Rose of Athens partnered with public schools to give thousands of young students their first experiences with live theatre. Athens, GA has a world famous music scene, so I hired local musicians to create live music for nearly every show. During our decade and a half of live theatre, RoA partnered with many community groups, including historic preservation societies and arts organizations to produce live theatre events to inform and entertain visitors to several historic landmarks.
